Wedding Bells And Old Friends

Susan, Isabella, and I leave for Celebration, Florida today. The Sunshine state is calling for two wonderful purposes.
First, my best friend is getting married. He has found an amazing woman and they will begin married life together on Thursday evening. I am so happy for him, and grateful for God’s grace that we will be there and part of the celebration.
Second, I am privileged to have the opportunity to preach to the wonderful church family at Celebration Community Church. This is the outpost of God’s kingdom in Orlando that our family was part of planting in the beginning of our ministry, making it a huge part of our lives. We are thrilled to serve them again, and spend some time with old friends.
We would love your prayers for:
- smooth travel there and back.
- a great week for the boys (Colton, Ezra, and Nehemiah) as they stay with Grandpa and Grandma. We’ll miss them and wish they were with!
- some rest and relaxation while there.
- blessed reunions.
- Chris and Amanda, the wedding couple. For a wonderful week with family and friends, a memorable honeymoon, and a God-blessed beginning to their marriage.
- my sermon preparation and delivery - may I be used to feed the people at Celebration well this coming Sunday.
- the team and service at Calvary on Sunday. Matt Swanson will be kicking off a new sermon series for us this Sunday, called “The Fundamentals.” He will preach on the topic of prayer, with Psalm 40 as his text. And Chris Stone will be leading the musical portion of the worship service. Pray for these brothers as they lead.
It will likely be a little quiet around the blog until next week. But, who knows?
The LORD bless you and keep you,
The LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you,
The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
Amen.
